As <br /> you know, BMR does not believe that a violation of the specific <br /> permit requirements has occurred, however, in an effort to <br /> cooperate in good faith with your office, BMR has prepared an <br /> initial response to the information request set forth in <br /> paragraph 2 of the Abatement Requirements which states: <br /> (2) Immediate Assessment of Environmental Impact <br /> BMR shall review all available environmental monitoring <br /> data collected to date, including its approved ground <br /> and surface water monitoring sites, air quality <br /> monitoring sites, the tailings pile leak detection <br /> system, the processing plant circuit, and any other <br /> applicable monitoring facilities. A report summarizing <br /> its initial findings shall be submitted to the Division <br /> by Friday, April 10. <br /> Groundwater Monitoring <br /> The approved MLRD groundwater monitoring program requires <br /> that groundwater samples are to be collected on a quarterly basis <br /> from several locations within the permit boundary area as shown <br /> on Figure G-1 of the approved permit amendment.
