DON BLAKE
Land Use Administrator
(719) 743 -2337
May 30, 2002
Tony Waldron
Division of Minerals & Geology
1313 Sherman St Rm. 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Tony Waldron,
LINCOLN COUNTY
LAND USE OFFICE
RECEIVED
JUN 0 3 2002
Division of Minerals and Geology
This is in reference to the Stone Pit M -78 -80 and the letter of Problems /Possible Violation for the
inspection you did for our request o rele ase from reclamation.
Your corrective action called for re- seeding the area with the approved seed mix. We did apply
seed, and in some areas even hand raked it in, along with trying to cover the slopes with straw
matt to hold it down, but as we are all aware with no moisture and windstorms our efforts are
going to produce no results I am afraid.
The County will try again this fall to re -seed once again and hope we have the needed moisture to
produce growth in the spring of 2003. For now I will just keep this operation in the final stages of
reclamation if that will meet with the rules.
If there is more I should do please contact me.
Respectfully,
Don Blake
Land Use Administrator
Lincoln County
P.O. Box 39
Hugo, CO 80821
(719) 743 -2815 fax
