"Skip" Fischer
DISTRICT 1
ADAMS COUNTY
GOLORADO
Re: 112c Annual Report - Debetz Pit, Permit # M- 1977 -283
The Debetz Pit was mined for several years by the Adams County Public Works Department as a
source of road base. The County ceased mining operations in 2001. The site is currently open to
the public for passive recreation, primarily fishing and hiking
DRMS conducted an inspection of the site on April 9, 2010. No possible violations or corrective
actions were noted. There are two remaining items of reclamation that will need to be addressed
before permit release can be granted. These items are shoreline sloping and revegetation.
The Parks Department is continuing to control noxious weeds on the site, as well as attempting
to revegetate the site with native grasses. There have been no new disturbances or reclamation
efforts in the previous year so no map is being included with this report.
B O A R D O F COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Alice J.
