When road conditions are
such that vehicles create ruts deeper than 4 inches, drilling and vehicle activities will be
temporarily suspended.
o To protect adjacent undisturbed native vegetation, all activities will stay confined to
existing disturbed areas as much as possible and reclamation/ reseeding of disturbances
shall occur concurrently with backfilling of drill holes. Exception - if holes were drilled
in the middle of existing access road, backfilling and re- compaction of surface consisting
of the road will be sufficient.
o Any cleared trees will be stockpiled for use during reclamation.
o It is recommended that no drilling activity occur during the big game and crucial habitat
time period from December 1 to April 15.
o BLM concurs with the CDRMS that the present bonding amount is adequate and no
additional bonding instrument is required.
