Site Description <br />EXHIBIT "B" <br />6.3.2 The Site Description for the COLORADO MOSS ROCK PIT is as follows <br />(Please also see Site - Pre - mining Map): <br />The applicant/operator is COLORADO MOSS ROCK. This mine is a ROCK PICKING <br />(OPERATION) from the surface of the mine site clearing the land for other post mining uses. No <br />other commodities will be mined. KIM AND KIMBERLEY BARICKMAN are the landowners of <br />the property. This pit operates year -round supplying landscaping stone to the surrounding area as <br />well as a regional market. Details of the operation are in the attached application package. <br />This 110c LIMITED IMPACT Permit will be used for: mining and reclamation of stone plus <br />stockpiling the stone on pallets in the storage yard see map for details. The proposed operation is <br />suitable within the size of the site. <br />The mine type is surface clearing (rock picking) and the substance to be mined are individual stones <br />and stone boulders both classified as construction aggregates. The site is located on Pueblo County <br />Road 248 "aka" RYE PARK ROAD approximately 1.5 miles west of the town of Rye, Colorado. <br />Current Zoning is A -3 Agricultural the surrounding zoning is as follows North is A -3 Agricultural, <br />West is A -3 Agricultural, South is A -3 Agricultural and the east is S -1 provide land areas for public <br />use. <br />The post mining use will be residential / agricultural with the applicant building a home and <br />landscaping for private residential use. The man made structures on site pre - mining are the ranch <br />fencing and the existing ranch roads. The applicants own the 217 acre parcel, on which the proposed <br />operation is situated upon. The proposed haul route would be out of the mine (rock picking site) on <br />going east County Road 248 which connects to State Highway 165. <br />The proposed mine will be reclaimed to be harmonious with the environment as it is today. This <br />request is for what is commonly called a Rock Picking Operation. The proposed permit site is a <br />glacier boulder field with rock scattered on the ground ready to be pick up and moved to the storage <br />area. No excavating deeper than 6 to 10 inches is anticipated. This will be the crater depression that <br />the boulders will leave when lifted and moved. <br />The vegetation and soil is covered in the NRCS report is included with this application. <br />A brief summary follows here: <br />
