Beyer <br />2981 Abbey Road <br />Steamboat Springs, Co 80487 -4971 <br />Re: Proposed Decision <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 6 (RN -6) <br />Edna Strip Mine (Permit No. C- 1980 -001) <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for coal <br />mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Chevron Mining, Inc. on May 12, 2011 for the <br />Edna Strip Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by <br />the Division in the Steamboat Pilot. <br />The Surface mine is located approximately 5 miles Northwest of Oak Creek, Colorado. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />T5N, R85W, Portions of Sections 31, 32 <br />T5N, R86W, Portions of Section 36 <br />T4N, R86W, Portions of Sections 12, 13, 14, 23, 24, 25 <br />T4N, R85W, Portions of Sections 7, 8, 17, 18, 19, 29, 30 <br />The mine is fully reclaimed and no mining will occur during this permit term. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the Routt County Clerk and Recorder.
