Exhibit J — Vegetation Information
Paul Banks and Associates, LLC
Please reference Exhibit C -1 regarding the distribution of soils across the site. Due to
the history of the site, the distribution of vegetation on the site is not strongly correlated
with the soil mapping on Exhibit C -1.
The majority of the proposed affected area is disturbed due to the former trailer park.
Groundcover in the area includes only sparse vegetation, primarily weeds and other
herbaceous vegetation adapted to the poor growth medium and regular disturbance.
The northern area has also been subject to historic disturbance and is presently
overgrown by a variety of grasses and agricultural weeds, as well as woody growth
including Russianolive, native willow, and some larger cottonwoods at the northwestern
corner of the permit area. Wheatgrass, timothy, and clover are prevalent in degraded
pasture areas.
A preliminary jurisdictional wetland assessment found no wetlands or waters of the U.S.
within the affected area. Extensive repair and maintenance of irrigation facilities has
recently occurred across the subject property.
Debeque Sand and Gravel Resource 11019
Oldcastle Southwest Group, Inc. 20 November 2011
