In general, the reports are
complete and well organized; however, the Division has three comments:
1. Pacific Aster (Aster chilensis) is in the permitted seed mix but was not in the seed mix ordered from
Granite Seed Co. in 2009 or 2010. Please explain.
2. Canadian milkvetch was included in the 2010 #4 -BLM seed mix but is not in the permitted seed
mixture for use on BLM lands. Please explain.
3. In the permitted seed mix #3, rubber rabbitbrush makes up 4% of the seed mix by weight. In the
seed mix invoices from Granite Seed Co., it makes up 15.05% and 10.8% in 2009 (two orders) and
15.08% in 2010. Please explain the increased quantity of rubber rabbitbrush in the seed mix.
Office of
Deriver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
