( "Lafarge" or "Applicant ") along the South Platte River. This SWSP proposes to replace depletions which occur at the Howe Pit, Riverbend West Pit (aka Riverbend Operations), and the Riverbend East Pit (aka Lupton Lakes Pit) as identified above. The required fee of $771 ($257x3) has been submitted. This SWSP previously covered the Mann Lakes Pit (DRMS M-1982-147, the e WDID previous 0 SWSP. Thus Mann Lakes Pit removed site ed frrom this SWSP. was paid in the Plan Operation Lafarge transferred the Howe Pit to Denver Water in May 2009 and is not covering any losses due to ground water evaporation at the Howe Pit in this SWSP. Denver Water will be responsible for replacement of evaporative depletions at the Howe Pit site from any unlined lakes and will submit a separate SWSP request to cover any depletions from the ground water exposed in those unlined lakes after December 31, 1980. The consumptive use at the Howe Pit site that will be covered under this SWSP will only be from water used for concrete batching. Lafarge has temporarily ceased mining at Riverbend West and will resume mining when it becomes economically feasible. Thus the consumptive use at the Riverbend West will consist only from evaporation of exposed groundwater. The gravel pits are located as shown on attached Figure 1. This plan identifies replacement sources to cover depletions from the multiple mine sites.
