5 <br />Tamarisk and Russian olive trees that are too tall to be effectively treated with <br />herbicide alone will be treated utilizing the "Cut Stump" method. The trees will be cut <br />off as close to the ground as possible; Habitat® will be applied immediately to the <br />stump at the manufacturer recommended level. <br />Appendix 3. COMMITMENT and LENGTH OF PLAN <br />This Weed Management Plan, and a commitment to implement and follow the plan, will <br />be in effect for the life of the permit. <br />The CSU Extension office operates under a cooperative agreement with the <br />Las Animas and Huerfano County governments, and provides technical <br />assistance regarding noxious weed management on public and private lands <br />within the counties. As such, this office is the locally recognized source for <br />weed management expertise and is qualified to assist Fremont Paving & Redi- <br />Mix, Inc. in meeting the requirements related to weed management. <br />
