The cable guard was up on the outside edge <br /> of the road. <br /> RECLAMATION SUCCESS -Rule 4.15,Rule 3: <br /> The flat facilities area had poor to no vegetative cover in some areas. The reclaimed access road up the <br /> hillside had a good vegetative cover and appeared to be stable. The reclaimed fan site was also stable with a good <br /> cover of vegetation. There continues to exist an ongoing stability problem with the backfilled and graded west <br /> portals area. Cracks and holes in the backfilled areas continue to show up. <br /> REVEGETATION— Rule 4.15 Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br /> The revegetated areas on the east side of the hillside have good cover and have contributed to stability of <br /> the reclaimed slopes. These areas include the reclaimed access road and the reclaimed fan site area. However,the <br /> ongoing stability problems at the west hillside backfilled portals area have contributed to a poor to fair cover of <br /> vegetation. There are some bare areas and some poorly vegetated areas on the flat facilities area. <br /> Tamarisk continues to grow in the hillside spring area,in the hillside spring water treatment pond and near the <br /> river where the treated spring water enters the black culvert. <br /> SLIDES and DAMAGE -Rule 4.12: <br /> Cracks and holes continue to develop in the immediate vicinity of the backfilled west hillside portals area. <br /> This area appears to be adversely affected by the natural landslide adjacent and to the west of the permit area. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04: <br /> The bridge over the North Fork of the Gunnison River was passable. Some of the boards on the bridge are <br /> loose,however. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS— Rule 4.02: <br /> The mine identification sign was on its post at the top of the bill. The required information was on the <br /> sign. The "records location" sign was also up at the top of the hill. Surface disturbance markers were up around the <br /> disturbed area.
