The following statements satisfy these requirements.
Date of Cessation:
Cessation Reasoning:
Resumption Plan:
LAFARGE WEST, INC.
101070 Church Ranch Way, Suite 200
Westminster, CO 80021
(303) 657 -4000 Main Line (303) 657 -4037 Fax
‘4o\1 " 4 7.011
Division of ReCamo,
 dining and Safely
There are no personnel working at the site for 180 consecutive days.
There are only security personnel at the site.
There are personnel other than security people at the site, but they are engaged
in activities which can be described as maintenance or housekeeping, or related
activity.
There are personnel at the site, but they are engaged in activities which are not
significantly moving the site towards completion of the mining operation.
There is no sale or processing of material or movement of stockpiled material.
There is only minimal or token excavation of construction material or other
materials.
Mine development has ceased and mining has not recommenced.
The last records Lafarge has indicating when mining activity occurred on
site are from 2006. Demolition of structures within the mine permit
boundary has occurred since 2006 to clear the surface in preparation of
mining. Removal of sand and gravel stockpiled on site has occurred
since 2006 but active mining has not.
The market has not supported opening the pit at this time. Lafarge is in
the process of final Reclamation of an adjacent pit, the Miller Pit.
Lafarge has been actively pursuing reclamation in the vicinity but not
mining.
Placing the reserve in "idle" status for a period of five years will secure
the reserve for a better economy.
