May 9, 2011 <br />Cotter Corporation (N.S.L.)'s Response to December 14, 2010 Adequacy Review, <br />Comments 4(A) and 5(B) <br />Page 4, Item 4(A) — Facilities Evaluation <br />Provide the basics of a contingency plan for mitigation of uranium and other constituents <br />being released from the AFA to Ralston Creek in the event the activities being performed <br />under TR -14 do not result in acceptable water quality in Ralston Creek. The specifics of <br />the plan would be provided in a future TR to be submitted as appropriate. <br />The basics of the contingency plan would be to identify any additional source and prevent <br />the source from reaching the creek. More will be known about how to write the <br />contingency plan as cleanup of the AFA nears completion. <br />Page 4, Item 5(B) — Ground Water Information <br />Section 8(b)(iii)4, page 8 -34. The EPP states that mine pool levels are measured twice <br />daily. As part of environmental protection measures, Cotter must provide the Division <br />daily mine pool elevations on a monthly basis. The data may be provided electronically. <br />Cotter has been providing DRMS with the mine pool elevation data on a monthly basis in <br />electronic form and this will continue into the future. <br />
