Exhibit I - Soils Information
The soils for this area have been mapped and described by the U.S.D.A.
Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), formerly the Soil Conservation
Service. According to the survey for Elbert County, Western Part, three mapping units
occur on the mine area: (16) Cushman -Kutch complex, 8 to 25 percent slopes;
and (39) Renohlll Louvlers complex, 8 to 25 percent slopes. The majority of the
area to be disturbed consists of the former.
Figure 1 included herein is a soils map of the area delineating the mapping
units. Descriptions of the mapping units and representative profiles are attached. The
descriptions were obtained from the soil survey.
