Note that one permit exceedance occurred during
July 2011 for the 30 day average of total suspended solids (TSS). The 30 day average limitation for TSS is 35 mg /L, while we
had a 30 day average of 37.5 mg /L based upon two samples collected in July. The high value may be due to erosion from
record snow melt and precipitation in July. Note that subsequent averages for August and September were 23.5 mg /L and 5.3
mg /L, respectively.
Chronic WET testing was conducted in August for Ceriodaphnia and fat head minnows. The tests indicated that IC25 values
were non compliant (see attached lab reports). Fat head minnow testing did pass. The agency was notified and accelerated
testing was conducted in September. Two rounds of accelerated testing each passed, bringing us back into compliance.
Laboratory reports are attached.
Please contact Mb directly at (970) 870 -2750 for any further questions or additional information.
Enclosures
o
Off' a §,
Brian A.
