The blasting at the quarry will have no <br />damaging effects to the homes of your neighbors. <br />I am attaching a seismograph report, along with the shot report for the blast. You <br />will note that the highest reading on the Peak Particle Velocity (PPV), is 0.580 ips at 571 <br />ft. for the blast on May 4, 2011. <br />The closest neighbor to the quarry for the blasting in 2012, is in excess of 3,000 ft <br />The United States Bureau of Mines, through extensive research and testing, developed a <br />formula for predicting the maximum vibration magnitudes at given distances. <br />-1.6 <br />V = 242 (DM/ <br />If we use 3,000 ft and 837 lbs, the predicted maximum vibration velocity is 0.144 inches <br />per second.
