v
7 10
7-
Continuation of monitin y
itiated in Jul 2000 described as follows: monthly monitoring of 5-shaft water
for PCB for a period of 12-months and quarterly monitoring of the Arkansas Monitoring Well for PCB for a
period of 6 calendar quarters. If both the 5-shaft and Arkansas Monitoring Well show non-detect results for
PCBs during this period, Climax and the Division of Minerals and Geology will conclude that the PCB
monitoring requirement may be eliminated from the Climax Mine Reclamation Permit. Results of the
analyses required under the corrective action plan will be submitted to the Division in September 2001
unless PCBs are detected at either of the sampling locations. Detection of PCB will be reported by Climax
to the Division within five working days of the time that Climax learns of PBC detection in the analytical
results.
