Clima <br />March 22, 2010 <br />Hand Delivered <br />Mr. Allen Sorenson <br />Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety .�'V <br />1313 Sherman St., Rm. 215 <br />Denver, CO 80 <br />4 -r <br />Re: Permit M- 1977.493 status of Mine Opening Closure, 3- Gallery <br />Per our discussions during your October 21. 2009 visit to the Climax Mine, the attached photos are provided to <br />show the current status of the 3- Gallery underground decline opening. <br />The 3- Gallery underground opening that formerly housed Number 45 Conveyor ran from the surface to the <br />Number 4 Crusher on the 600 Level of the Climax Mine. During 2006 and 2007, extensive demolition activity at <br />the Climax Mine saw the dismantlement of the 45 Drive building, the building that provided access to 3- Gallery. <br />The opening to 3- Gallery remains in place and has not yet been closed /secured to a condition that would prevent <br />long -term access and therefore remains a required task in the Climax Mine Reclamation Plan.
