efforts (FSaker 1977, 1989; Hihbets et. al 1979) had not detected this
small and weak cultural resource. ~ decision was subsequently made to
test the lithic scatter and adjacent stone alignments by way of a
ccuitinlled shovel test strategy. The goal of the excavations would be
to evaluate the resource's potential to contribute to our understanding
of local prehistory and it's eligibility for the National Register.
