1 Figure 8: Slab-lined hearth in operation 12 on lower terrace at SDT271.
Photo taken during initial clearance of duff from feature.
The hearth was associated with food bone and a butchering
tool kit. A radiocarbon date (Beta 18088) for this feature
was 140' S0 years B.P. or A.D. 1810. It is part of an
ephemeral historic Ute hunting cant which was fully mitigated
as part of the evaluation effort. Vies is dawn and to south.
