Pir?eda
Director
Re: Revenue Mine Exploration, Notice of Intent (NOI) No. P- 2011 -030, Technical Review, Deficient
Items to be Addressed.
This office has been in communication with Mr. Greg Lewicki, your consultant on this project, in regards
to the questions that have been raised during initial technical review of this NOI. The responses that have
been submitted to -date have been satisfactory. Further review has shown that there are still several items
that are deficient, and need to be clarified or addressed, before this office may consider an approval of the
NOI. These items are listed in the following paragraphs; please respond to each item:
Two differing acreage figures were originally included in the NOI, but this was revised, and the project
acreage is now represented to be 0.91 acres. This acreage consists of the waste rock disposal area on the
existing dump near the portal, and specified portions of land to be affected by some of the core drilling
activities. Some of the proposed prospecting activities will occur on land that is already disturbed, and
some areas of land that will not require reclamation. Table 1 (confidential) summarizes the acreages to be
disturbed, but it appears that not all areas are included. Please be aware that all areas to be affected by the
proposed activities, whether they are to be reclaimed or not, should be included in the project acreage.
The NOI acreage should be revised to include the 30' x 90' pad at each drill location and the portion of
the Revenue portal area that will be disturbed.
Much of the proposed activity is to occur on pre- existing disturbed land. The areas which will not be
significantly impacted nor require reclamation, such as use of the onsite buildings and the portal, and
travel on existing roads or waste rock areas, must be included in the project acreage, but do not need to be
bonded for reclamation. For reclamation and bonding purposes, the following breakdown of direct costs
will be used:
All drill pads will have mud pits backfilled and possibly require minor grading.
Upland drill pads at MK -11-41 through 46 will require seeding, and perhaps topsoil replacement.
Trails created by overland travel to the MK drill pads will require seeding.
Waste rock dumping area near the portal will require surface grading.
If any of this seems incorrect, please advise.
COLORADO
D I V I S I O N O F
RECLAMATION
MINING
— &—
SAFETY
Office of Office of
Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
