The decision date was set for November, 7, 2011. The preliminary adequacy review
issued on October 3, 2011 of the EPP identified technical and administrative requirements that need further
clarification or correction.
On October 26, 2011 Cotter requested an extension of six months of the decision date to have time to address the
issues raised in the review. The Division agrees that the extension is necessary in order for Cotter to collect,
submit and allow adequate time for review of responses prior to any decision. The new decision date is now set
for May 7, 2012. The Division is requesting that Cotter submit its responses to staff by no later than April 9, 2012
to allow adequate time for the multi - disciplinary team review.
If you need additional information please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, or by telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
G.
