Box 440 <br />Rapid City, SD 57709 -0440 <br />Re: St. Barbara Sand and Gravel Mine, Permit No. M- 2004-013, Amendment Approval, Revision No. AM -1 <br />Dear Mr. Brannan: <br />On October 26, 2011 the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety approved the Amendment application submitted to <br />the Division on July 19, 2011, addressing the following: <br />Change the . post mining Lad use from wildlife habitat with lakes and crop land to water storage with slurry wall <br />covering 210 acres. The operator will submit a technical revision once the site is active and ready to construct the <br />Slurry wall. At that time the Division will re calculate the financial warranty needed after the QA/QC specifications <br />are approved by the State Engineer's office? <br />The terms of the Amendment No. 1 approved by the Division are hereby incorporated into Permit No. M- 2004 -013. All <br />other conditions and requirements of Permit No. M- 2004 -013 remain in full force and effect. <br />Since the operation is going to be in Temporary Cessation, the current financial warranty in the amount of $410,693.00 is <br />deemed adequate to cover the current affected area disturbance.
