This type of operation that
AmerAlia is considering has not been done before. They're looking at up to six wells over a
5 -year period. The area of the well field will disturb on the order of 10 acres versus what
other operators have been operating or have proposed.
Company
American Soda
White River Nahcolite
AmerAlia
Disturbed Acres
400 acres
112 acres
10 acres
We are talking about an experimental operation that is much smaller in size, areal extent and
number of wells. So, we need to keep things in perspective when we're thinking about
monitoring issues and potential monitoring requirements that you might be thinking of, and
the fact that this is a pilot operation, unlike White River's current operation and/or American
Soda's operation.
Paul von Guerard:
Jerry, you said six wells over a 5 -year period? And 10 to 12 acres?
No. of Wells
450 wells over life of project, 26 wells in first year
35+ wells
6 wells
1
