Letter to Roger Day 9 June 18, 1999
the BLM may suffice for DMG's reporting requirements regarding any loss of containment of
production fluid.
21. Please provide proof of the required four weeks of newspaper publications announcing that the
permit application was under review. An affidavit from the publisher is an adequate means to show
proof of publication.
22. DMG is currently working through a reclamation cost estimate for the Rock School Lease Project.
Once finalized, the cost estimate will be presented to AmerAlia. The cost estimate will be the basis for
the amount of reclamation bond to be required for permit issuance. In accordance with Rule 4.2.1(8),
the amount of bond held by the Mined Land Reclamation Board may be reduced by subtracting the
amount of reclamation bond held by BLM from the estimated cost to reclaim the site.
23. DMG will contact AmerAlia to schedule a pre - operational inspection of the Piceance Site prior to
permit issuance.
Please follow the submittal requirements of Rule 1.8 when filing responses to the issues raised in this
letter. For continuity, please include a copy of this letter when filing AmerAlia's responses with the
County Clerk and Recorder.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
C.-
Alen C.
