AmerAlia Rock School Lease Experimental Nahcolite Project
Ground Water and Surface Water Monitoring
Meeting Agenda
May 26, 1999
Introductions: Sign up sheet, introuction of participants, questions and
answers at any time.
Purpose: Discuss the proposed AmerAlia experimental nahcolite project water
monitoring program. Consider input and ideas for the design and
implementation of a ground and surface water monitoring program.
Overview: Who is AmerAlia? Brief overview and current status. AmerAlia is
dissimilar to any existing or anticipated sodium operation/operator in the
Piceanc Creek Basin. Refer to documentation distributed with meeting
announcement.
AmerAlia, Inc. considers this operation to be experimental in nature with the
initial phase to include up to six solution mining wells over a 5-year period of
time. The solution mining operation is considered an experimental pilot plant.
The proposed AmerAlia mining interval and operating conditions are unlike
the nearby White River Nahcolite/IMC or American Soda operations. An
operation similar to that proposed by AmerAlia does not exist.
Surface Water Monitoring: Current plans and participant discussion and
input.
Ground Water Monitoring: Current plans and participant discussion and
input.
Action Items:
