Box 591 <br />Somerset CO 81434 <br />Re: Coal Exploration File No. X- 2007 - 228 -00 <br />Dear Mr. Koontz: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve the release of <br />coal exploration bond submitted by Ark Land Company for Notice of Intent No. X- 2007 - 228 -00. <br />A bond in the amount of $24,302.00 was submitted to cover reclamation costs of exploration <br />drill holes in Mesa and Garfield Counties. A September 2011 inspection showed that vegetation <br />had matured to the extent necessary to control erosion and ensure the long -term success of the <br />reclamation. <br />The legal description for the project is as follows: <br />Mesa & Garfield Counties, Sections 23 -26, 35 & 36, Township 7 South, Range 102 West <br />Sections 17 - 21, 28 -32, Township 7 South, Range 101 West <br />Sections 1, Township 8 South, Range 102 West <br />Sections 3 -10, 15 -18, Township 8 South, Range 101 West <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by this proposed decision may <br />submit written comments to the Division at the address below within 30 days of publication of <br />this proposed decision in the The Daily Sentinel. <br />If you have any questions, please feel free to call. <br />Sincerely, <br />Kent A.
