The Golden Eagle Mine has one area that falls under the small area exemption <br />criteria outlined at Colorado Rule 4.05.2(3). The area is within the current permit boundary and has not <br />achieved final bond release. <br />The evaluated site is the North -West Vent Shaft (SAE #10). The required demonstration on the shaft was <br />"Effluent Limitation ". The shaft has been reclaimed; it was completely sealed from bottom to top, then <br />covered with soil and revegetated. The area is 1.2 acres and has disturbed area markers in place. <br />Vegetation has established well and no sign of an offsite impact was observed. This small area <br />exemption is the only exemption from the original permit area that has not received final bond release. <br />
