Mine • Township 8 North, • Township 9 North, Loadout • Township 9 North, PUBLIC NOTICE, KERR COAL COMPANY - MARR MINE TECHNICAL REVISION Kerr Coal Company (Kerr) has filed an application with the Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining & Safety (DRMS) requesting approval for a Technical Revision for the Marr Mine and the associated Loadout site. Kerr is the former operator and current permittee under Permit No. C -80 -006. Mining ceased in 1993 and the responsibility for reclamation continues for a minimum of 10 years following permanent reseeding of the site(s). The purpose of this revision is to revise former language in the current Permit Document to better describe vegetation species diversity standards concerning the adjacent undisturbed vegetation plant communities and the above referenced reclaimed sites. The Loadout site is located just south of Walden near the former Louisiana- Pacific Lumber mill site and adjacent to the Illinois River. The proposed permit renewal covers areas within the Mine and the Loadout permit boundaries as listed below. These areas are situated on the Johnny Moore Mountain, Gould NW, Walden and Eagle Hill 7.5 minute USGS quadrangle maps in the 6 Prime Meridian: Range 78 West — Section 2 Range 78 West - Sections 22, 23, 25, 26, 27 and 35 Range 79 West — Sections 28 and 29.
