Box 1750 <br />Canon City, CO 81215 <br />Re: Schwartzwalder Mine, File No. M- 1977 -300; Technical Revision <br />TR -18 Extension Request - Additional Information Needed <br />Dear Mr. Whicker: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining, & Safety (Division) received on 6 September 2011 Cotter Corporation's <br />(Cotter) request for a 30 -day extension of time to reply to the Division's adequacy concerns on Technical Revision <br />TR -18. <br />Before the Division can consider the request, some additional information is required. Cotter must provide the <br />following within five (5) business days of the date of this letter: <br />1) A detailed justification as to why another extension is needed. <br />2) A detailed report on the following items: <br />a) the status of Cotter's response to the Division's adequacy concerns, <br />b) the status of completion of the engineering designs and expected date of finalization, <br />c) a list of items that Cotter must complete before the Technical Revision is ready for re- submittal to the <br />Division, <br />d) a list of all approvals and permits required by agencies other than the Division that exercise jurisdiction <br />relating to the project, along with a detailed explanation of Cotter's progress towards obtaining such <br />approvals and permits. <br />If this information is not received to the satisfaction of the Division within five (5) business days of the date of this <br />letter (5:00 pm Friday 16 September 2011), the Division may deny TR -18 for failure to timely respond to its <br />adequacy concerns.
