Dear Wally:
I am writing on behalf of Wildcat Mining Corporation ( "Wildcat ") to respond to the
Sixth Adequacy Letter by the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety ( "DRMS" or
"Division ") for the May Day Idaho Mine Complex. The Sixth Adequacy Letter includes the
letter from you to Mr. Robinson, R Squared, Inc., dated September 30, 2011, the response to
which is set forth below, and the following memoranda which were attached to your letter
and incorporated by reference:
1) Memorandum from P. Hays to W. Erickson (Sept. 23, 2011);
2) Memorandum from T. Cazier to W. Erickson (Sept. 28, 2011); and,
3) Memorandum from T. Cazier to W. Erickson (Sept. 27, 2011).
As you have requested, I have re- stated below each adequacy question presented in
your letter, and then provided a substantive response. I am also contemporaneously
submitting a written response in a similar fashion to the three memoranda prepared by
Messrs. Hays and Cazier, which are incorporated by reference. For your convenience, I
have created one master list of attachments for Wildcat's response to your letter and these
three memoranda. At your direction, I have attempted to state for each individual
response the specific nature of the commitments being made by Wildcat and any proposed
modifications and clarifications to the permit application materials submitted on August 8,
2011. Wildcat intends that these statements will be incorporated by reference into its
August 8, 2011 submittal. For the most part, the materials shown on the master list of
attachments include maps, diagrams and other materials which DRMS specifically
