OBSERVATIONS <br />PERMIT #: M- 1984 -117 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: CCR <br />INSPECTION DATE: August 16, 2011 <br />1) The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site as part of sites to be inspected during the fiscal years <br />2011 -2012. The site is a small sand and gravel operation located approximately 20 miles west of Canon City. The <br />site was not active at the time of the inspection. <br />2) The permit sign and boundary markers were properly posted .There were seven small stockpiles of processed <br />materials some of the stockpiles appeared to be imported material for another site. One of the stockpiles looks <br />like the material from the white mica pit. Along the south side of the active pit area, there was what appeared to <br />be recycled asphalt. All the drainage from the pit area is captured with in the pit. <br />3) The reclaimed slopes along the North West side of the pit area ware stable, no major sign of erosion was <br />observed. The entire permit area was walked and inspected. The operation is in compliance with the approved <br />reclamation plan. <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />
