Work activities resumed on Tuesday, 9/6/2011. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />ame <br />Project No.: 84201125E0 <br />Contractor: Ames Construction Co., Inc. <br />Shift: Day <br />I) EARTHWORKS <br />A) Subgrade Preparation <br />1) VLF <br />Subgrade shown on Figure 1 was inspected and accepted by an AMEC field representative for <br />soil liner fill placement. <br />B) Slope Contouring <br />1) VLF <br />Slope contouring was performed between stations H0 +00 ( + / -) and H6 +00 ( + / -), approximately <br />0 to 350 feet right of centerline. Slope contouring was performed using two CAT D -6 LGP <br />dozers. <br />C) Soil Liner Fill <br />1) VLF <br />Soil liner fill (SLF) placement continued in the areas shown on Figure 2. Subgrade was <br />approved and moisture conditioned prior to placement using a tandem -axle water truck. <br />Placement was performed using various CAT dozers and one skid steer loader in a one -foot <br />compacted lift. SLF material was hauled to the placement area from the S. Cresson clay <br />stockpile using 40 -ton articulating haul trucks loaded by a John Deere 744 front -end loader. <br />Moisture conditioning of SLF material was performed in place using a tandem -axle water truck <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 09.10.2011 <br />
