Successful revegetation (measured by 75 percent cover of <br />adjacent undisturbed ground after 2 growing seasons in upland <br />areas and 80 percent ground cover in riparian areas) of disturbed <br />ground with native vegetation. <br />101. Surface will be left roughened ( "pocking ") as part of the seed bed <br />preparation. <br />102. Revegetation of all reclaimed areas would include reapplication of <br />seed (and a Forest Service recommended fertilizer if necessary) <br />and periodic watering by the operator if revegetation is <br />unsuccessful within two growing seasons after construction is <br />completed. <br />103. A seed mix palatable for both wildlife and livestock would be <br />used for revege tation to support the post- mining land uses. <br />Forest Plan <br />FS <br />Reclamation Plan <br />104. A Reclamation Plan (reviewed by the Forest Service), submitted <br />as part of a DRMS mine permit revision, prior to any construction <br />activities, will inchde, but not limited to, methods, seeding <br />species and seeding rates. <br />DRMS <br />COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />SMA Requirements <br />105. Operator shall comply with applicable requirements of surface <br />management agency (30 CFR 815.15) or approved State program. <br />30 CFR <br />815.15 <br />Plugging <br />Requirements <br />106. Bottom 50 -feet of the continuously cored hole would be plugged <br />with cementatious grout to prevent water from entering the mine <br />following Deer Creek Shaft Construction. <br />107. When no longer needed for its intended use each drilled hole or <br />borehole, wells, or other exposed underground opening shall be <br />capped, sealed, backfilled, or otherwise properly managed, as <br />required by the Division and consistent with 30 CFR 75.1711. <br />Permanent closure measures shall be designed to prevent access to <br />the mine workings by people, livestock, fish and wildlife, <br />machinery and to keep acid or other toxic drainage from entering <br />ground or surface waters. <br />108. Exploration holes, drill holes or boreholes, wells or other exposed <br />underground openings rot completed to aquifers shall be sealed <br />by replacing cuttings or other suitable media in the hole and <br />placing a suitable plug 10 feet below the ground surface to <br />support a cement plug or other media to within 3 feet of the <br />ground surface. The hole will be marked. <br />109.
