PUBLIC NOTICE <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve the release of coal <br />exploration bonds submitted by Oxbow Mining, LLC for the following projects; <br />Notice of Intent No. X- 2003 - 223 -04 <br />Full release of liability and cash bond in the amount of $16,224.00 <br />Notice of Intent No. X- 2004 - 223 -05 <br />Full release of liability and cash bond in the amount of $37,869.00 <br />Notice of Intent No. X- 2005- 223 -06 <br />Full release of liability and corporate surety in the amount of $34,819.85 <br />Notice of Intent No. X- 2006 - 223 -07 <br />Partial release of liability and release of corporate surety bond in the amount of $34,969.00, retaining <br />$26,000.00 to cover work yet to be completed. <br />Notice of Intent No. X- 2007 - 223 -08 <br />Full release of liability and corporate surety bond in the amount of $43,100.00 <br />Notice of Intent No. X- 2008 - 223 -09 <br />Full release of liability and corporate surety bond in the amount of $60,175.00 <br />These coal exploration bonds were submitted to cover reclamation costs of exploration drill holes in Delta <br />and Gunnison Counties. Drilling occurred on privately owned lands as well as lands owned by the <br />Bureau of Land Management and the US Forest Service. Based on ground inspection and on report <br />documentation submitted, it was determined that all disturbances associated with the projects have been <br />successfully reclaimed in accordance with Rule 4.21 of the Rules and Regulations governing coal mining, <br />with the exception of a road and two planned drill locations under NOI X- 2006 - 223 -07. <br />The general location of the drilling activity can be described as north of State Highway 133 in Delta and <br />Gunnison counties in the watersheds of Hubbard Creek, Bear Creek, Elk Creek and Sanborn Creek. <br />The legal description for the project area is: Sections 31 and 32, T12S R90W; Sections 5 and 6, T13S <br />R90W; Sections 35 and 36 T12S R91W; Sections 1 and 2, T13S R91W. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by this proposed decision may submit <br />written comments, or a written request for an adjudicatory hearing before the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board, to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203. Such comments should be submitted within 30 days of the second publication <br />of this notice. <br />
