Box 68 <br />Empire, CO 80438 <br />Re: Climax Molybdenum Company, Henderson Mine, Permit No. M- 1977 -342 <br />Technical Revision No. TR -04 Partial Approval <br />Dear Mr. Hamarat: <br />As requested by the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division /DRMS) during the August <br />23, 2011 meeting at the Henderson Mill, Climax Molybdenum Company (CMC) provided an <br />additional copy of the following documents related to Technical Revision No. 4 (TR -04) of the <br />Henderson Reclamation Permit. <br />Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation <br />• Lined Mine Water Treatment Pond (Pond 1.2) <br />TR -04 addresses the various environmental protection facilities and requirements at the <br />Henderson site: Mine 1.2 Pond constructed in 1995 was one facility addressed in TR -04. The <br />Division conditionally approved the construction with the stipulation that CMC analyze a <br />representative sample of the pond foundation soils for shear strength in order to verify design <br />assumptions regarding stability of the pond slopes. <br />The Division has reviewed and accepts the information provided and /or referenced in the CMC <br />submittal. The Operator has fulfilled the requirements of the stipulation for Pond 1.2 of TR -04. <br />The revised terms of Technical Revision No. 4 approved by the Division are hereby incorporated <br />into Permit No. M- 1977 -342.
