CMC is in the process of reviewing its DRMS
permit files to make sure that all associated commitments have been met and that the related files,
correspondence and authorizations are complete. As is practicable, our goal is to obtain written
confirmation that obligations associated with each of our technical revision and permit amendment files
have been satisfied. We believe this will prove useful to both CMC and DRMS, and we appreciate your
assistance with this effort.
CMC submitted the request for TR -09 on April 11, 2000 (see attachment ' 1) and DRMS subsequently
granted CMC conditional approval on April 27, 2000 (see attachment 2). The purpose of TR -09 was to
grout a portion of the abandoned 2 -Dam Decant System and to install parallel gravity lines to route No. 3-
Dam seepage to the No. 1 -Dam seep water collection system. The conditions imposed by DRMS were in
the form of the following stipulations.
Stipulation #1
A Freeport - McMoRan Company
COLORADO OPERATIONS
Henderson Mill
P.O.
