made during sealing, plugging and abandonment, such as perforating or removal of the casing,
shall be recorded in detail.
Removal of topsoil and earth materials from around completed well casings will be performed
for those wells in which the casing could not effectively be removed. Removed topsoil and
earth materials will be properly stored and protected from erosion for re- application.
Previously excavated and stored earth materials and topsoil will be re- applied to the disturbed
ground surfaces around and over the abandoned drill holes and wells. The appropriate seed
mix, as directed by the Division, will be applied as necessary. Upon completion of restoration,
all plugged drill holes /wells will be suitably marked for future identification.
Completion and Restoration Plans
Precautions to minimize surface disturbances to potential sites during drilling and reclamation
activities will be observed. Mobilization to the selected sites will be restricted to established
road rights -of -way. Linc Energy will provide the drilling contractor(s) with approved access
routes to the sites. On -site mobilization will be limited to only that necessary to position
required equipment over each drill location and to related drilling infrastructures (e.g. mud pits,
soil stock piles, etc.). All un- necessary travel over the sites will be restricted in order to protect
the environmental quality of the sites. Linc Energy will provide a source of water for all drilling
activities.
Mud pit construction will include the removal and storage of topsoil. Excavated earth materials
below the topsoil layer will be stored in a separate spoils pile. Standardized soil erosion
measures will be taken to prevent erosion of topsoil and spoils piles. Drilling mud and cuttings
generated from Linc Energy's drilling activities will be interned in mud pits. Mud pit dimensions
will be approximately ten feet by fifteen feet and eight feet deep. Mud pits will be properly
fenced while open to prevent unauthorized access. After drilling activities have been
completed, previously excavated and stored earth materials will be utilized to fill in the mud
pits. Stored topsoil will be applied over the excavated earth materials infilling the mud pits, re-
contoured to grade and seeded with the appropriate seed mixture as directed by the Division.
If hazardous material(s) is (are) encountered during the drilling process, Linc Energy will
immediately notify the Division. Linc Energy will not be responsible for the removal of
hazardous materials or the remediation thereof, if the materials are the result of an activity or
condition that pre -dates Linc Energy's activities at the Site. Linc Energy will take appropriate
mitigation steps to deal with any hazardous material(s) for which it is responsible. No
hazardous materials will be stored long term at the drilling sites.
