26- September -2011
Mr. Kent Gorham
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
303 - 866 -3567
RE: LINC ENERGY OPERATIONS, INC.
NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO EXPLORE FOR COAL BY DRILLING
Dear Mr. Gorham:
Linc Energy Operations, Inc. is interested in exploring coal deposits north of Craig Colorado and has
attached a Notice of Intent to Explore application and supporting documents for review and processing
by the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. The purpose of the proposed 10 hole
drilling project is to determine if the area is suitable on a geologic and hydrologic standpoint for
potential Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) development.
Linc Energy Operations, Inc. has also provided the Colorado State Land Board with a separate application
packet for a drilling permit. Both the Denver and district offices of the Colorado Land Board received
copies of that application and exploration plan. That exploration plan document is the same in this
application.
Linc Energy Operations, Inc. will strive to complete the drilling project in a safe manner with emphasis
on minimal disturbance to the environment.
If you have any further questions or concerns with the information presented in this Coal Notification
please feel free to contact me at (303) 352 -1520, or a letter may be sent to me at the above address. I
sincerely appreciate your time and attention in assisting Linc Energy with our Coal Exploration Program.
Yours Sincerely,
Alex Papp
Exploration Manager
Enclosures as stated
cc: Tim Kelly & Lane Osborn, Colorado State Land Board
Fueling our Future
www.lincenergy.com
SE.P 8 '1011
u , rceclan' '
U‘v
Mining and Sate
zinc
EIIERGY
Linc Energy Operations, Inc.
1200 17th St.
Suite 2100
Denver, CO 80202
P 303 623 0510
F 303 623 0547
E info@lincenergy.com
