chemical/reagent storage area. Any leakage, or containment issues with the laboratory chemicals
or reagents is directed to the mill sump and then to the TSF pond.
The office /safety /training /change house facility is an extension of the existing grinding, flotation
building. Located on the eastern side of the building, the extension is 12 ft wide by 30 if long
within the existing disturbed area. The extension houses an office, bathroom and change room.
The concentrate storage room is also an extension of the existing grinding, flotation building.
Previously located on the east side of the grinding/flotation building in the southeast corner, the
24 ft by 20 ft extension is now located at the southwest corner of the grinding /flotation building
immediately adjacent to the mill sump. The concentrates will be placed in 2 ton super sacks for
truck shipment. The concentrate storage room is located entirely within the existing disturbed
area adjacent to the existing building.
An additional new crushing facility immediately north northwest of the existing crushing
building allows for selective ore handling and storage is scheduled for construction within the
next 18 months. The facility is a 30 ft by 60 ft concrete storage pad with enclosed crushing
facility and a 1000 ton storage silo. The storage silo feeds an enclosed overhead belt, conveying
the crushed material directly to the grinding/flotation building, by- passing the existing crushing
facility. This dual feed system of crushed ore allows selective blending of problematic ores
and /or campaigning of ores that require different reagent concentrations.
The milling facilities site was originally selected because the site provided a suitable tailings
disposal area, protection from strong winds to prevent airborne migration of dust from the
tailings disposal area, proper soil conditions for construction purposes, and isolation from
inhabited areas and heavy traffic.
Also considered was the proximity to electric power, water accessibility, natural gas, and haulage
distance from the mining district.
The mill site is located in a heavily - wooded area on the lee side of an east -west trending hill
which affords maximum protection from the normal prevailing wind from the northwest. The
mill maintains a minimum cleared area to afford a good firebreak distance around the buildings,
roads and tailings disposal area.
The nearest inhabited buildings to the mill permit boundary is a house located about 400 ft.
northwest, a house located approximately 800 ft West and a house located approximately 350 ft
West.
M1990 -057 September 27, 2011
