Box 467
Golden, CO 80402
Re: Keenesburg Mine, Peiniit No. C- 1981 -028
Third Quarter 2011 Pond Inspection Report
Dear Mr. MacDonald:
The Division received Coors Energy Company's Third Quarter 2011 Pond Inspection report on September 20,
2011. The report indicates that CEC conducted inspections on September 15, 2011.
The Division has reviewed this report and did not find any cause for concern related to the ponds. No discharge
from any of the ponds was reported, and no structural issues were identified. Only one potential issue was
identified: the report indicates that vegetation at the sewage lagoon is inadequate. However, as previously
noted, the sewage lagoon poses no threat to public safety or environmental health. Thus, this issue is not
considered a problem.
This report meets the requirements of Rules 4.05.9(14) and 4.05.9(17). Thank you for your submittal.
Sincerely,
1
Robert Zuber, P.E.
Environmental Protection Specialist
(303) 866 -3567, ext. 8113
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation
STATE OF COLORADO
COLORADO
D I V I S I O N O F
RECLAMATION
MINING
— &—
SAFETY
John W.
