BOUNDARY
Reclamation Plan assumes that Charter Oak Ranch Road remains in
place for public access.
Overburden backfilling, cut and fill, or a combination of backfilled cut
and fill sloping will be used to create final reclaimed side slopes. The
approach for final side slope reclamation will be determined as mining
progresses and quantities of available overburden and overall pit
depths become known in more detail.
Final slopes may be created by cut and fill (see Figure F -3 in
Reclamation Plan).
Final slopes will have a 3H:1 V or flatter slope.
The outlet of the reclaimed area will be smoothly feathered into the
undisturbed land to the south of the maximum extent of mining and
disturbance.
Silt fence or other Best Management Practices will be used to control
sediment discharge from the pit until the vegetation is developed.
The overburden /topsoil stockpile area will be disced or ripped shallowly
after removal of the stockpiles and prior to seeding.
