is thinner and the plants not as robust. Areas that were not disturbed during operations or reclamation
contain a good cover of mature native species, which appear to be slowly encroaching on the disturbed areas
year by year. There are no annual weeds or noxious weeds observed anywhere on the site.
Sediment Control:
Due to adequate water quality discharged from level 14 portal, the settling pond was eliminated. A vegetated
earthen sediment berm remains on the slope below the former pond location. The runoff from the slopes
above the 14 level portal and eastward are diverted to a sediment pond where it appears to fully percolate
into the ground. There is no sediment transported off the coarse materials that compose the graded dump
areas.
Support Facilities On -site:
All milling and support facilities have been removed, except the concrete slab of the former shop. Two
underground locomotives are parked there "on display." The historic Victorian houses are also still present,
though they exhibit a bit of what appears to be snow damage. There are overhead electric lines crossing the
site, but the file reflects that they are not the property of the operator.
Signs and Markers:
The permit ID sign is still present.
Topsoil:
There is no topsoil stockpile to use for reclamation.
Inspection Contact Address
Scott Butters
Camp Bird Colorado, Inc.
P.O.
