Current water resource conditions and potential surface water and groundwater impacts are
described in Exhibit G, Water Information.
Groundwater — Specific Requirements
The reclamation operation will not affect groundwater quality on or off the site. The operation
will comply with State groundwater quality standards. Due to the absence of significant sources
of potential pollutants, groundwater quality monitoring is not required in this operation.
The reclamation will not significantly affect the groundwater table surrounding the mine site.
During construction of the slurry wall, the existing mined area lakes will not need to be
dewatered and damages to nearby wells are not anticipated. However, Exhibit G, Water
Information, illustrates and describes existing registered wells within one -half mile of the permit
boundary. In general, non - monitoring, existing wells are greater than 600 feet from the permit
area and impacts to these wells are not anticipated. Although damages are not anticipated, it is
the intent of the City of Greeley to operate responsibly and to mitigate damage to wells that is
directly attributable to the reclamation of this site.
Buildings and Structures
There are no buildings or structures on the proposed Treiber Lakes site.
Signs and Markers
1. Permit notification signs will be placed and maintained at the entrance to the operation.
2. The permit boundary will be identified where it is not already identified by fences or
suitable markers. Since most of the boundary is already marked by fences or the Cache
la Poudre River, this specifically pertains to the eastern permit boundary.
All signs and markers will be removed upon permit release.
Treiber Lakes
DRMS 112 Permit Application
Page 12
