September 12, 2011 C -1982- 056 /Foidel Creek Mine JDM
ROADS — Rule 4.03
Construction 4.03.1(3)14.03.2(3)
Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)
Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)
Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7):
The 6NM, 18LT, and Fish Creek Borehole access roads were dry at the time of the inspection. Access roads were
stable and in good condition at the time of the inspection. Main facilities roads were wet due to dust suppression
activities during the inspection. All roads were stable with the exception of the following:
- Evidence of run -off was observed in the middle of the access road north of Trudy's corner leading to the Topsoil
piles rather than in the established roadside ditches. Proper diversion will need to be re- established to ensure
runoff is directed into the ditches.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
The 18RT reclamation and the bleeder shaft reclamation were stable with initial vegetation growth observed. Both
sites were stable with no evidence of erosion noted. The 18RT site has been fenced.
Demolition of the Fish Creek Tipple facilities is being conducted. The majority of the facilities have been
demolished, with removal of scrap metal remaining.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 5 of 8
