Valco owns two <br />shares of the Rocky Ford Ditch, which you have estimated yield 25.72 acre - feet annually. Valco also T of has a <br />15 year lease (through June 15, 2013, extendable for one 10 year period) for 250 acre per y <br />consumable water to be obtained from the Pueblo Board of Water Works (PBWW). Valco has obtained 8 <br />LAWMA shares which will be used to replace depletions at the Lamar East Pit. These shares' allocations <br />vary from year to year, depending on the percent set by LAWMA. Valco has also purchased 90 Preferred <br />LAWMA shares yielding 90 acre -feet of water, which will be used for replacement at the Lamar East Pit. <br />Lastly, Valco will use 25 shares of the Canon City and Oil Creek Ditch which you have estimated will yield <br />38.34 acre -feet annually. <br />Rocky Ford Ditch credits will first be applied to depletions at the Rocky Ford Pit, which will be <br />delivered directly to the Arkansas River using the City of Aurora's augmentation station. The lagged <br />depletions at the Rocky Ford Pit will be reduced by irrigation - season credits associated with the historic <br />consumptive use of these shares, with the non - irrigation season depletions replaced with PBWW lease <br />apply <br />water. This SWSP shall be valid for the period of June 1, 2009 through May 31, 2011, unless um <br />revoked, modified, or superseded by decree. Should an additional SWSP be requested, <br />renewal request must be submitted to this office with the statutory fee of $257 per gravel pit at least <br />45 days prior to the expiration date of this plan. Operation of this plan since the date of the last <br />approval letter is also adopted by this plan approval. <br />2. No more than 30.1 acres (14.7 acres of post - 1981 exposure) of ground water may be exposed at the <br />Canon City East Pit, nor more than 47.3 acres (29.9 acres of post-1981 exposure) of ground water <br />may be exposed at the Rocky Ford East Pit nor more than 35.4 acres (22.2 acres of post-1981 <br />exposure) may be exposed at the Lamar East Pit during this plan year without first obtaining an <br />amendment to the plan. The above acreage totals include any surface areas in ponds to which de- <br />watering water is delivered. Documentation of pond sizes may be required by the Division Engineer in <br />the form of an aerial photo evaluation or survey by a Professional Land Surveyor during the plan year or <br />in years covered by subsequent renewals of this plan. <br />3.
