Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pilleda
Director
I am requesting your assistance in the review of the reclamation cost estimate for Minor Revision No.
124 (MR -124) for the Bowie No. 2 Mine. In MR -124, Bowie Resources LLC is proposing to drill two
new gob vent boreholes and revise the locations of three gob vent boreholes that had been previously
approved in Minor Revision No. 123. The total disturbance involves drill holes, drill pads and light use
roads and amounts to 2.1 acres of new disturbance.
Attached is one complete copy of the MR -124 submittal. The submittal cover letter describes the
requested additions and changes. I have also included a copy of Map 9 that was approved under MR-
123, to show the currently approved locations of the drill holes which BRL proposes to move. If you
need additional information, please let me know.
As I had mentioned to you previously, BRL needs approval of MR -124 sometime this week. I would
appreciate your response memo back by Friday, September 16.
Thanks for your assistance.
Attachments
Office of
Denver • Grand junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
