September 8, 2011 C- 1981 - 035 /King Coal Mine TAK <br />SUBSIDENCE — Rule 4.20: <br />There was no evidence of subsidence over the portal areas. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />King I — There was no activity at King I other than mine staff at the bathhouse. <br />King II — The hazardous material /grease /oil storage area was in good shape, with all materials properly stored <br />within containment areas. No problems were evident at the four portals. Coal was being trucked off -site during <br />the inspection. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />King I — The mine i.d. sign was properly displayed at the mine entrance from County Road 120. Affected <br />area ( "Permit Area ") markers are properly displayed around the surface facilities area. <br />King II — A mine i.d. sign was on display at the mine's entrance on County Road 120. The surface disturbed area <br />is well - marked with "Permit Area" markers. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />The King 11 topsoil stockpile appeared in good shape with no erosion evident. <br />DOCUMENTS RECEIVED - None <br />OTHER (SPECIFY) - None <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS /COMPLIANCE <br />No enforcement actions were taken as a result of this inspection and none are pending. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year, ending 6/30/12: 2 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year, ending 6/30/12: 1 <br />Page 4 of 9 <br />
