• Used oils, greases, antifreeze and solvents are retained for recycling. Bulk storage tanks are <br />available for used oils and antifreeze at the west end of the mine maintenance shop. Used <br />chlorinated solvents are returned to their original containers for recycling or continued use by the <br />supplier. Drums and barrels containing used or obsolete liquid products are emptied into the bulk <br />storage tanks or otherwise properly recycled, reused, or disposed of. Empty barrels are crushed <br />and placed in the scrap metal receptacles for recycling if they are not to be returned to the vender <br />for reconditioning or reused on site. <br />Used conveyor belt is temporarily stored next to the belt line prior to being sold and shipped off site <br />for reuse by others. <br />Three rock dust silos are located at the mine site; one next to the mine fan at the D -Portal Area, one <br />located southwest of the junction of the haul road and County Road 65, and one north of County <br />Road 65 west of transfer station #1. <br />IV.Q Miscellaneous <br />This section has been added to the permit to discuss operating details that are not discussed <br />elsewhere in the permit and to provide a section for detailing future revisions that may be made to <br />the permit. <br />• Pesticides and Toxic Materials: BME will not use persistent pesticides unless prior approval is <br />obtained from the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology.
