13. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

Product vapors or mist may Irritating to eyes and respiratory system. Product liquid may
cause eye and skin burns. Harmful if swallowed Excessive heating or contact with acids can
cause poisonous hydrogen sulfide gas to be released Breathing hydrogen sulfide is
potentially lethal
Eye irritant. May cause tearing, blurring of vision and corneal damage.
Skin irritant. Effects of prolonged skin contact May include rash and burns.
Ingestion can cause irritation or bums of the mouth, throat, esophagus, and, stomach
with nausea and vomiting. Central nervous system effects may include headaches,
weakness, and nausea.
Prolonged inhalation of vapors is irritating to the respiratory system, may cause
throat pain and cough. Central nervous system effects may Include headaches,
weakness, dizziness and nausea. Contact with acids or excessive heating can
release poisonous, flammable hydrogen sulfide gas. Hydrogen sulfide has a
characteristic "rotten egg" odor. The TWA (8 -hour) exposure level for hydrogen
sulfide Is 10 ppm. The IDLH exposure level for hydrogen sulfide is 100 ppm.
